The driver of the crashed car was never actually stung by the wasp. He just panicked, started flailing at it, and lost control of the vehicle. The wasp never harmed him directly. Great book though. I've never understod the people who grumble at its alleged support for "terrorism". Mowry's methods wouldn't harm a society whose members were loyal and had confidence in their leaders.
