I would think that college-level text books would be perfect for a Kindle. And since college students start new classes in a winter semester, getting a Kindle for Christmas might hold a certain appeal. No standing in line trying to pay for books...just download them to your Kindle! No lugging texts...just your Kindle. I would think that parents of college-aged students would shell out for a Kindle more readily than parents of high school-aged or elementary school-aged students. I don’t know. I would think that college-level text books would be perfect for a Kindle.
